Reiki is a non-invasive method of healing to restore emotional and physical wellbeing. It is achieved through establishing balance of energy in the human body. It calms the mind, transcends time and space, and provides nourishing healing energy to the healer and the healed. Reiki is also called the Energy Medicine.
It is believed that Reiki existed from time immemorial. Reiki was practically lost until it was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan towards the end of the 19th century. The powers of healing and the Reiki symbols were revealed to him.
Dr. Usui tried his newly acquired powers of healing on many people and was delighted with its efficacy. He opened a clinic in April 1921, he chose Dr. Hayashi as his successor, the first Grand Master, who in turn chose Madame Takata as his successor. She was responsible for bringing Reiki to America.
Jyothi does Initiation and Attunement for Individuals into Reiki Levels I & II. She discovered the benefits of Reiki in a very serendipitous manner after suffering from severe migraine headaches when she was much younger. She has been practicing Reiki since then and is an active member of International Distant Healing Network (IDHN).
She uses Reiki Healing Energy to work with many people around the world, and has received very positive feedback on healing. Her mission is to pay forward & help heal and initiate as many people as possible to find their way forward through Reiki, as she has experienced immense benefit from this.
It is easy and enjoyable to learn. During the training the person receives attunement. This opens up your energy centers, thereby enabling you to become a channel for Universal Life Force Energy. This creates a permanent connection or gateway for Reiki Energy to be continually present in your lives. The attunement is done over two days and is very simple and easy to learn. It is a hands-on method of healing.
Mikao Usui (臼井甕男, 15 August 1865 – 9 March 1926, commonly Usui Mikao in Japanese) was the father of a form of spiritual practice known as Reiki used as an alternative therapy for the treatment of physical, emotional, and mental diseases. According to the inscription on his memorial stone, Usui taught Reiki to over 2,000 people during his lifetime.
